Book Review-The Help

The latest and GREATEST book...The Help by Kathryn Stockett. This book was off the charts good.

It definitely surfaced an always current event topic for women...to work, to have babies, to try and juggle it all. What do we sacrifice for 'having it all', what do we sacrifice for 'staying home'? This books touches on so many hot buttons, from sexism to racism, and many more. I will be heading out the theater to see this move, and I'm sure I will shed some tears. I absolutely cried at the end of the book. This was a quick read for me because I couldn't put it down, reading during naps, reading at night, reading while sitting on the toilet while the babies took a bath...all just to absorb as much of the book as I could.

Rating 5 out of  5

  1. I LOVED this book! It's sad, funny, depressing, hopeful.... a bit of everything. I saw the movie last week - it was really good, but I found it a bit choppy. The performances by Emma Stone, Viola Davis, and Octavia Spencer were fantastic. Sissy Spacek was really good too.
